Volunteer(s) needed to organise delivery of the North and West Melbourne News

stephenCommunity

A number of Association members are already regular distributors of the paper to a block of letterboxes in their neighbourhood.

The News urgently needs a new Distribution Coordinator(s) to bundle and arrange delivery of the paper to distributors’ doorsteps. You must have access to a suitable vehicle to do this.

Four times a year, on a Thursday, the News is delivered to The Centre, where the Distribution Coordinator(s) sort(s) it into appropriately sized bundles for the delivery team. The bundles are labelled with pre-prepared sheets describing their delivery area. Some distributors collect their bundles from The Centre, which makes things easier.

The task also involves a little paperwork, such as notifying the delivery team — mostly by email — of the dates when the paper is due.

The March edition of the News is due out next Thursday, so we urgently need someone to take on this volunteer role. You will be playing a great part in supporting and connecting with your local community.

If you are able to help out, please reply to janetcgraham@gmail.com or contact Perla at The Centre, 58 Errol Street, or on 9328 1126.

Many thanks
