In-Home Display Technology Pilot (Free trial)

SueEnvironment, Events, Social issues

The City of Melbourne and Untapped Energy are working together to run an energy usage pilot project within households in the municipality.

Untapped Energy is a business formed and run by university students.  This pilot program provides Untapped Energy staff with the opportunity to use their technical skills while providing City of Melbourne residents with a valuable service.

The pilot program involves arranging for In-Home Display (IHD) devices to be placed inside residential households.  The devices display real-time electricity consumption data for the household.  This pilot program seeks to understand what impact access to real-time data has on household electricity consumption and behaviours.

Participation is free and the program runs for 3 months.  See the attachments for more information and the application forms if you wish to participate.
